Position Overview:

This role requires on-site presence four days a week. The Vice President of Financial Operations will spearhead the organization's financial oversight, encompassing corporate accounting, compliance reporting, budget formulation, and the establishment of internal control measures. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will also manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. A primary objective will be to enhance internal controls and streamline financial processes for improved operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and consolidate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Develop and assess budgets, providing comprehensive budgetary reports.
  • Design, implement, and reinforce internal control frameworks within the organization.
  • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Lead the accounting team, ensuring the general ledger is meticulously maintained and accurate.
  • Guarantee adherence to legal standards, regulations, and established accounting practices.
  • Utilize various financial software tools for account management and preparation.
  • Assist in audit preparations and compliance checks.
  • Manage billing processes and tax documentation.
  • Collaborate with the financial team to develop internal policies and controls.
  • Coordinate with IT to uphold financial records and system processes.
  • Identify and rectify discrepancies in financial documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in a controller or similar financial leadership role.
  • Professional designations such as CPA, CFM, or CMA are advantageous.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software, particularly NetSuite and SaaS platforms.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept in project management.
  • Strong mathematical and accounting competencies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
  • Ability to operate independently while maintaining high ethical standards.
