Position Overview:
This position is focused on providing technical administration for cybersecurity efforts, specifically supporting the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team. The role is designed to deliver ongoing services for various applications and can be primarily executed remotely with occasional on-site responsibilities. The responsibilities encompass a comprehensive suite of cybersecurity services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement, configure, and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, including tools like Splunk and/or Elasticsearch, within the Cyber Incident Response framework.
  • Evaluate threats and vulnerabilities affecting organizational computing resources, formulate rules and filtering methods for risk assessment, and ensure accurate reporting to the SIEM system.
  • Collaborate with teams to uphold web application security protocols, address identified vulnerabilities, and maintain compliance with established standards.
  • Analyze and respond to Cyber Tasking Orders, verify security measures, and recommend improvements to technical security settings.
Engage with stakeholders to convert technical goals into actionable requirements, work alongside Cyber Security Service Providers, and coordinate with customer Information System Security Officers (ISSO) and Information System Security Managers (ISSM).

Required Skills:
STIG, IAVM.

Essential Qualifications:
1. CompTIA Security+ certification
2. IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
3. Baseline DoD Instruction M certification (typically Security+ CE).

Experience Level:
Expert Level
