Position Overview
Join Varite as a vital member of the Office of Information Technology-Systems Administration team. This role involves ongoing support, design, and implementation of Microsoft solutions tailored to fulfill business goals and technical specifications. Your contributions will enhance knowledge sharing, collaboration, and workflow solutions, facilitating the effective deployment of M365 solutions within a multi-tenant framework. The primary focus of this position will encompass Office 365, Security and Compliance, Exchange, MFA, ADFS, and all administrative aspects related to Identity management within the M365 ecosystem. Additional responsibilities will extend to managing technologies such as Intune, Active Directory, LDAP, VIS, and various third-party applications currently utilized within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, deploy, and implement solutions using SCCM and Intune for client systems.
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft products concerning WSUS, Group Policy, and Windows OS in an enterprise environment.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft 365 Product owners to address daily operations and issues related to Microsoft 365 solutions, including E-mail, E-Discovery, and Content Search, enhancing organizational workflows.
  • Provide technical support for incidents escalated from the helpdesk, resolving system and identity issues resulting from environmental changes.
  • Assist in executing a Microsoft 365 roadmap, leveraging new platform innovations as they become available.
  • Support the migration of content from various sources (servers, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.) to the Microsoft 365 environment as per design specifications.
  • Offer guidance on configuration and policy implementation concerning Microsoft portals and services managed by the department.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Hybrid Office 365 deployments and knowledge of AD Sync using AD Connect solutions.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for managing and supporting Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environments.
  • Familiarity with DNS, Email Gateway, and a broad technical background across various platforms is advantageous.

Experience Requirements
  • Proven experience in successfully supporting Microsoft 365 products.
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and configuration across multiple system environments.

Educational Background
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year institution, focusing on Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Additional Information
While overtime is not typically expected, it may occasionally be necessary to diagnose and resolve issues or perform maintenance. This position is contractual, with the option to apply for registration within the state.
