We are seeking a highly skilled Stationary Engineer to join our Plant Operations team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing plant equipment, including boilers, furnaces, pumps, fans, engines, turbines, and heating and ventilating equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Monitor and control the flow of oil and water to regulate the operation of boilers and auxiliary equipment
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs
- Supervise and coordinate the work of Boiler Firemen and other team members as assigned
- Stationary Engineer license issued by the NYC Department of Buildings
- Collective bargaining unit: IBEW Local 3
- Ability to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
