Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct studies and surveys of work sites to identify potential health hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Determine appropriate medical tests and evaluations to detect job-related diseases and prevent further health insults.
  • Maintain accurate records of work site visits and communicate findings to site supervisors and other occupational health personnel.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform the development of health programs and worksite modifications.
  • Provide a wide range of professional nursing and health care services, including counseling, education, and training to the civilian workforce.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • A graduate or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited professional nursing educational program.
  • A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • At least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or above) providing occupational health services, conducting nursing assessments, and providing patient or staff education.
