Respiratory Therapist Lakeland PRN

As a Respiratory Therapist at Corewell Health Lakeland, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients of various age groups. Under medical direction, you will perform a wide range of procedures related to the care of patients with general and specialized respiratory-related needs.

• Evaluate patients to determine their respiratory care needs and make appropriate recommendations and changes in accordance with policy and protocol guidelines.
• Assess the effectiveness of treatment and accurately document according to department and legal/regulatory standards.
• Perform point of care testing as required.
• Perform advanced evaluation, management, and therapeutic procedures for patients requiring respiratory assistance.
• Facilitate a smooth transition for patients to appropriate referral services or the next point of service.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory issues.
• Instruct and train other respiratory care staff, nursing, and medical personnel on patient needs and respiratory care services.

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• 2 years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep medicine, or equivalent clinical education
• LIC-Respiratory Therapist - State of Michigan
• CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - National Board for Respiratory Care
• CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Heart Association
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
