About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Factors Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and testing medical products that meet the highest standards of safety, usability, and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish human factors and usability requirements for new products and product line extensions.
  • Represent the human factors engineering function on core teams for small to large-sized projects.
  • Implement a variety of human factors research methods, including task analysis, usability testing, and user preference studies.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions and risk analyses.
  • Contribute to user interface designs by providing heuristic design guidance, ideas, and feedback to project teams.
  • Support documentation review and development, including risk analyses, user/environment profiles, and human factors engineering reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as human factors engineering, industrial design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, with a focus on human factors and usability engineering.
  • Strong communication, creative thinking, and team player skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
