Job Summary:
This role involves assisting Registered Nurses with patient care tasks, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting patients with daily activities. You will also be responsible for orienting patients and families to the unit, instructing patients on safety measures, and assisting with clerical work such as answering phones and maintaining medical records.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients/residents with activities of daily living
- Maintain patient/resident rooms in a clean and orderly condition
- Assist with clerical work such as answering phones and maintaining medical records
- Observe and report changes in patient/resident conditions
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required for new hires
- Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I
- BLS required per policy guidelines
- Ability to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies
Estimated Salary Range:
$48,000 - $62,000 per year, based on experience
