Environmental Geologist

Kleinfelder is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Geologist to join our team in Kingsville, Texas. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for conducting environmental data evaluation, field activities, and providing field services assistance at industrial projects sites.
Responsibilities:- Plan and execute field activities, including environmental sampling and monitoring well installation.
- Oversee subcontractors performing environmental sampling and construction-related activities.
- Enter, evaluate, and report environmental data.
- Manage field equipment and laboratory samples.
- Communicate with Kleinfelder staff, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ensure quality execution of tasks assigned.
- 3-6 years of related experience.
- Soil and/or groundwater sample collection experience.
- A demonstrated ability to follow direction and work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong knowledge of TCEQ regulations and guidance documents.
- Experience with preparing TCEQ reports, including Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, and Remedial Action Reports.
- Experience with various contaminants, including chlorinated compounds, petroleum compounds, PCBs, PFAS compounds, and metals.
- Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC).
- Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) card.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
- 10 hr OSHA Construction certification.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as effective oral and written communication skills.
This position may require work on projects requiring full vaccination from COVID-19. If that is the case, you will be required to show proof of vaccination or an acceptable exemption in order to work on the project.
