Job Summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a dynamic Geologist/Engineer to join our team in a key role that involves environmental data evaluation, field activities, and overall field services assistance at industrial projects sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental Data Evaluation: Review and analyze environmental data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Field Activities: Conduct field activities, including soil and groundwater sampling, and oversee subcontractors performing monitoring well installation activities and environmental sampling and/or construction-related activities.
  • Data Entry and Report Preparation: Enter data into our database and prepare reports to document findings and recommendations.
  • Field Services Assistance: Provide assistance with laboratory samples and field equipment management, and communicate with Kleinfelder staff, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Quality Execution: Ensure the quality execution of tasks assigned, including ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-6 years of related experience in environmental data evaluation, field activities, and field services assistance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical, judgment, and problem-solving capabilities, and excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of TCEQ regulations and guidance documents, and experience with preparing TCEQ reports, including Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, and Remedial Action Reports.
  • Certifications: Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) card, 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification, and 10 hr OSHA Construction certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and effective oral and written communication skills.
