Job Overview

The Lemoine Company is seeking a skilled Surveyor to join our Building Construction Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and accuracy of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform precise horizontal and vertical control surveys to ensure project accuracy.
  • Layout and verify structural components, partitions, equipment, paving, and exterior improvements to meet project requirements.
  • Utilize cutting-edge field engineering and surveying technology to execute projects efficiently.
  • Proactively identify and address construction document conflicts and issues to maintain project momentum.
  • Coordinate project needs to avoid disruptions and delays, ensuring timely completion.
  • Collaborate with project teams and craftsmen to maintain cost, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Foster a culture of safety by actively participating in good catch observations, safety conversations, and coaching.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Construction Management, Survey Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a surveying role on commercial construction projects.
  • Proficiency in jobsite safety protocols, blueprint reading, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with surveying equipment, such as Trimble or similar technology.
  • Experience in laying out concrete foundations, paving, and vertical concrete is a plus.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams and craftsmen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands

The physical and mental demands of this position must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.

Most duties in this position are performed under periodically disagreeable working conditions including working outside at times in inclement weather, and exposure to water, dust, dirt, grease, paint fumes, chemicals, and equipment noise and vibration. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Work hours coincide with job site and/or office hours.
