Responsibilities:
The Patient Financial Liaison is tasked with ensuring that a current insurance verification is maintained and completing an Excel spreadsheet with CPT codes as directed by the physician to accurately calculate the patient responsibility (PR) for upcoming appointments.
Engage with patients regarding outstanding balances or anticipated financial responsibilities for services.
Communicate directly with patients concerning their financial responsibilities and insurance verifications.
Complete Excel spreadsheets detailing patient responsibilities based on insurance verification.
Review clinical notes and orders from the patient's chart to finalize the patient responsibility.

Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in verifying insurances through online portals or phone communication.
Experience in patient collections and comfort in discussing balances owed or future financial responsibilities for services.
Strong customer service skills are essential.
Proficiency in Excel is required.
Familiarity with eCW (eClinicalWorks) is advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret clinical notes and orders from physicians is necessary.
