Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and dishwashers.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of patients and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, including food, equipment, and cleaning materials.
  • Collaborate with the Food Service Manager to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate kitchen staff to ensure a high level of performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous hospital and food service experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Enrollment in or completion of certified Dietary Managers Course, preferred.
  • TB skin test.
