Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Dining Services Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and serving of meals, as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the department.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and direct the work of food service department employees, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
- Manage food inventory, ordering, and storage, ensuring that all food is stored and handled safely.
- Ensure that all food service areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Develop and implement procedures for infection control, food-borne illness prevention, and other health and safety protocols.
- Manage food costs and maintain accurate records of inventory and expenses.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as infection control protocols.
- Ability to manage budgets and maintain accurate records.
