We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Vice President of AIMS at Mystic Seaport Museum. This is a pivotal role that requires a strategic thinker with a passion for maritime history and education. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent experience in a relevant field, along with 15 years of relevant professional experience.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set the direction and agenda for Institute research in collaboration with the Museum Leadership Team.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Institute members, inspiring the team with vision, innovative thinking, and self-starting initiative.
- Manage collections policy, exhibitions, and physical interpretations.
- Carry out new research and encourage external research.
- Deliver and expand existing programs and identify additional academic endeavors.
