Job Title: Frank C. Munson Institute FellowshipsSalary:

$2,400 stipend per month, plus free housing and book allowance.

About the Position:

We are seeking highly qualified candidates for our summer residential program in American maritime studies at the Frank C. Munson Institute of American Maritime Studies at Mystic Seaport Museum. The successful candidate will participate in two concurrent courses focusing on American maritime history and complete an independent research project.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research using primary documents and original sources
  • Participate in lectures, discussions, and other academic activities
  • Complete a written project or paper
Requirements:
  • Junior faculty, graduate students, or advanced undergraduate students with a strong background in maritime history or a related field
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
