Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Information Management Specialist to join our team at Eisenhower Health. As a key member of our HIM department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate and secure medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform chart analysis, scanning, and indexing to ensure accurate and efficient record management.
  • Conduct medical record reviews and audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide release of information functions as needed, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with birth registry functions, including data entry and record maintenance.
  • Collaborate with HIM leadership to troubleshoot HIM workflow issues and implement process improvements.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; higher level degree preferred.
  • Three years of experience with medical records in a healthcare setting required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
