Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our Hospice Care team at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. As a Hospice Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to ensure optimal comfort and quality of life.
  • Provide skilled nursing care, including wound care, medication management, and symptom control, in accordance with physician orders and agency policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including home health aides, LPNs, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and address patient concerns.
  • Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date on best practices and evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Arkansas.
  • One year of previous related healthcare experience, preferably in hospice or geriatric care.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to assess, evaluate, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Strong knowledge of geriatric care principles and practices.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of previous related healthcare experience.
  • CHPN certification.
  • Experience working with hospice patients and families.
