Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty: Chemistry

We are seeking a highly qualified tenure-track faculty member in chemistry to join our vibrant and inclusive community at Quinnipiac University. As part of our commitment to academic excellence and STEM inclusivity, this position will play a key role in advancing our mission to foster a more equitable future in STEM disciplines.
Responsibilities- Take a leadership role in curricular improvement and develop innovative teaching strategies for introductory STEM classes across the College.
- Collaborate with mathematics faculty to develop workshops and train full-time and part-time faculty on inclusive teaching strategies aimed at increasing retention and improving graduation rates.
- Teach lectures and labs of introductory chemistry courses, and upper-level courses in their area of expertise.
- Maintain an active research program that engages students and leads to scholarly presentations and publications.
- Seek funding to support research or teaching.
- Demonstrate a willingness to communicate information about their research and/or efforts with improving STEM inclusivity with the public.
- Guide, advise, and mentor students academically and professionally.
- Engage in service activities to help advance the mission and values of the university.
- PhD in Chemistry or Biochemistry or closely related field.
- Experience and expertise in leading curricular improvement that supports inclusive chemistry instruction.
- Evidence of employing inclusive and innovative teaching strategies in introductory STEM classes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the institution.
