Job SummaryThe Epic Application Analyst will design, configure, and maintain accurate and efficient Information Services technology, applications, and programs to maximize organizational performance. This role will provide technical, systems, and applications support to FMOLHS facilities and users, ensuring the integration of Epic in effective workflow and process design.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate vision development, solution design, standards guidance, project scoping, and IS strategy integration and implementation of efficient, high-quality Epic systems.
- Evaluate technology, systems, and application capabilities, analyze workflow/data flow, and create efficient and logical solutions.
- Plan, schedule, review, and perform analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation of assigned technology and application systems.
- Participate in solution testing and document clear and concise system descriptions that meet project requirements and departmental quality standards.
- Collaborate with FMOLHS Information Services, leaders, team members, and end users to develop efficient, cost-conscious technology and applications system specifications that maximize organizational performance.
- Develop and implement data-driven performance improvement methodologies and maintain accurate records for use in evaluating organizational performance.
- Ensure security, integrity, and privacy of FMOLHS data in conjunction with FMOLHS policies and procedures.
- Strive to promote the quality and efficiency of his/her own performance by remaining current with the latest trends in the field of expertise through participation in job-relevant seminars and workshops, attendance at professional conferences, and affiliations with national and state professional organizations.
- 3 years of experience as an Epic Certified analyst and 5 years of IS System Application experience OR 7 years of experience in healthcare, clinical, or business operations.
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of experience as a licensed healthcare clinical professional, business operations, or information systems.
Working Conditions: Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. Subject to many interruptions. Occasional travel. Physical Requirements: Frequent use of hands and fingers. Good visual and hearing acuity. Mostly sedentary work. Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal/human relations skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
