Position Overview:

The Controllers division plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization adheres to all financial control and reporting requirements of a global, regulated financial institution. Our team is responsible for assessing the profitability and risks associated with various business operations, while also ensuring compliance with financial market regulations.

Team Dynamics:

The fund accounting team within the Controllers Group is seeking to expand its ranks with an Associate role. This position involves collaboration with multiple departments, including investment, risk management, client services, operations, technology, legal, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team in the preparation of essential regulatory and compliance reports, as well as reports for the Board of Directors related to investment funds.
  • Engage in the launch of new funds, which includes reviewing fund documentation, setting up funds, and selecting vendors.
  • Support various special projects initiated by team, department, and business leaders.
  • Oversee technology projects by defining project scope, managing timelines, and coordinating testing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • CPA designation preferred, with experience in investment companies.
  • Experience in private equity is advantageous.
  • Strong technical proficiency in accounting and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities; detail-oriented.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
