Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Researcher

Stanford University is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner Researcher to join our team in the Department of Pathology. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for assessing physical health and administering treatments to study participants, overseeing study conduct and ensuring participant safety, and coordinating and managing care for participants enrolled in clinical research trials.

Responsibilities
  • Assess physical health and administer treatments to study participants
  • Oversee study conduct and ensure participant safety
  • Coordinate and manage care for participants enrolled in clinical research trials
  • Prepare and submit protocol-related documents and amendments to the IRB, FDA, and sponsors
  • Identify and recruit participants, obtain informed consent, and manage protocol-related finances
  • Perform phlebotomies, insertion of IVs, and skin prick tests
  • Prepare and maintain source documentation for phase 1-3 studies
  • Participate in study design, communicate with families, participants, and referring physicians
  • Track and record adverse events, perform physical exams, and diagnose and treat medical conditions
  • Formulate and evaluate treatment plans, manage common conditions, and review home diaries
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing and three years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of GCP, ICH, and FDA regulatory requirements
  • Ability to provide work direction to research support staff
  • Verbal and written communication skills to convey medical and research-related information
  • Ability to identify confidential and sensitive information
