About the Role

Stanford University is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Department of Pathology. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the clinical course of research participants in clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess physical health and administer treatments throughout the study aligned with scope of practice delegated responsibilities
  • Oversee study conduct and assure study participant safety
  • Coordinate and manage care for participants enrolled in a clinical research trial
  • Prepare and submit protocol-related documents and amendments to the IRB, FDA, and Sponsors
  • Identify and recruit participants, obtain informed consent, and manage protocol-related finances
  • Perform phlebotomies, insertion of IVs, skin prick tests, and other procedures as required
  • Prepare and maintain source documentation for phase 1-3 studies implemented at the Center
  • Participate in study design, communicate with families, participants, referring physicians, and other healthcare providers
  • Track and record adverse events, perform physical exams, diagnose and treat medical conditions, and formulate and evaluate treatment plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the California State Board of Registered Nursing
  • Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the California State Board of Registered Nursing
  • Current basic CPR certification
  • Family Nurse Practitioner license
