Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative II to provide exceptional patient care and collect blood samples for laboratory testing.
As a PSR II, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with patients, creating a comfortable and trusting environment.
You will also be responsible for drawing blood samples efficiently and safely, following established procedures.
Accurate data entry and quality assurance are also essential aspects of this role.
Providing excellent customer service and addressing patient questions and concerns is also a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
Establish strong relationships with patients, ensuring a comfortable and trusting environment.
Specimen Collection:
Collect blood samples efficiently and safely, adhering to established procedures.
Data Entry:
Accurately record patient information and specimen details.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure the integrity of collected samples and adherence to quality standards.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
Strong customer service skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
