About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Test Engineer III to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our development and operations team, you will play a critical role in the development and qualification of avionics hardware for our New Glenn launch vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test campaigns to ensure the quality and reliability of avionics hardware
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop avionics systems
  • Conduct thorough analysis and troubleshooting of avionics issues
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety-critical systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in developing and testing electronic systems or devices
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, electrical circuit fundamentals, and EMI/EMC standards
  • Familiarity with hardware development life cycle and safety-critical systems development
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of integrated test and operations experience
  • Experience managing sophisticated projects combining hardware, firmware, and software
  • Experience leading the development and testing of real-time embedded systems
  • Experience working with Python, Linux, and other Unix-style operating systems
  • Familiarity with git, Jenkins, JIRA, and other development tools
