We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Test Engineer III to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our development and operations team, you will play a critical role in the development and qualification of avionics hardware for our New Glenn launch vehicle.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute test campaigns to ensure the quality and reliability of avionics hardware
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop avionics systems
- Conduct thorough analysis and troubleshooting of avionics issues
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
- Participate in the development and implementation of safety-critical systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in developing and testing electronic systems or devices
- Strong knowledge of electronics, electrical circuit fundamentals, and EMI/EMC standards
- Familiarity with hardware development life cycle and safety-critical systems development
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
- 7+ years of integrated test and operations experience
- Experience managing sophisticated projects combining hardware, firmware, and software
- Experience leading the development and testing of real-time embedded systems
- Experience working with Python, Linux, and other Unix-style operating systems
- Familiarity with git, Jenkins, JIRA, and other development tools
