Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient nutritional status using documented medical information and established nutritional standards.
  • Counsel patients and/or families by identifying nutrition-related problems and developing plans of instruction and nutritional care.
  • Identify inpatients at nutritional risk and document recommendations.
  • Diagnose and develop interventions for patients with malnutrition.
  • Participate in physicians' rounds, discharge planning rounds, and conferences with nutritional implications.
  • Conduct education programs for patients, community groups, and staff.
  • Precept and mentor new staff or existing staff in clinical specialty areas.
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with multiple subspecialty care team members and providers.
  • Cross-cover a broader spectrum of patient care areas and subspecialties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in nutritional sciences (prior to 2024) or Master's Degree from an accredited program in nutritional sciences (2024 and after).
  • Minimum 2 years' related experience preferred.
  • Current NH Dietitian license and Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
