Position Summary:
Tri Star Energy is in search of a skilled and committed HVAC / Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to enhance our Facilities Maintenance team. This role primarily involves fieldwork, addressing maintenance requests and executing repairs on various equipment. The technician will be responsible for conducting both routine and preventive maintenance at our facilities, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests on machinery, systems, and equipment.
  • Identify and diagnose malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds and discussing operational variations with supervisors and peers.
  • Remove contaminants such as dust and grease from machinery.
  • Dismantle faulty machines, install new or repaired components, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain and lubricate critical machinery parts including shafts and gears.
  • Install and repair electrical systems, including transformers and wiring.
  • Replace or repair belts on machines as needed.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain piping systems along with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, ensuring proper function of gauges and valves.
  • Perform maintenance on the physical structure of facilities, including plumbing and general upkeep.
  • Adhere to industry standards and comply with all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Practice safe work habits and ensure cleanliness in the work area post-maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • HVAC Certification is required.
  • Familiarity with facility layouts, including HVAC and electrical systems.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
  • Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to respond to emergencies, including after-hours situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Commercial Refrigeration.
  • Experience in maintaining convenience stores or retail facilities.
