We are seeking a dedicated HVAC & Refrigeration Maintenance Specialist to join our thriving family business. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the quality of our facilities and ensuring a pleasant experience for both our team and guests. As a key player, you will contribute to the maintenance, improvement, and replacement of essential equipment and facilities.

Position Responsibilities

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for:

  • Implementing the Preventive Maintenance program efficiently.
  • Assisting management with compliance requests from health authorities.
  • Reporting any equipment misuse or damage to management.
  • Responding promptly to urgent maintenance emergencies.
  • Conducting routine maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Ensuring timely submission of invoices to the Accounts Payable department.
  • Staying updated on technological advancements that impact maintenance operations.
  • Supporting operations with product implementations requiring facility enhancements.
  • Planning your schedule in accordance with company protocols.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Facilities to leverage pricing strategies, warranties, and discounts.
  • Utilizing management software to track repair requests and document activities.
  • Adhering to company safety and security policies.
  • Maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Safeguarding company tools and equipment.
  • Keeping the company vehicle in compliance with company standards.
  • Managing parts inventory to prepare for critical repairs.
  • Monitoring and evaluating third-party work, maintaining accurate records for invoice approval.
  • Assisting with remodels by producing work scopes and coordinating contractors.
  • Understanding that this job description reflects essential functions and may evolve over time.
  • Working approximately 45 hours per week, with potential night shifts when necessary.
  • Using company-provided tools for your tasks.
Essential Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a maintenance-related field.
  • CFC License.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, gas-operated equipment, electrical systems, refrigeration, and various cooking appliances.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Basic carpentry and building maintenance knowledge.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills for equipment issues.
  • Capability to manage competing time constraints.
  • Commitment to the company's core values.
  • IT skills for managing schedules and work order systems.
  • Experience in vendor management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a maintenance-related field.
  • Journeyman's license.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
