POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary focus of this role is the maintenance and refurbishment of hydraulic systems utilized in aircraft. This position involves cross-training across various departments, enhancing versatility and skill sets. Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending the English language is essential, along with the ability to follow directives and collaborate effectively within team environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct testing, disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of hydraulic aircraft components.
  • Be available for overtime and holiday work with minimal notice.
  • Adhere to specific customer instructions and requirements.
  • Comply with all organizational procedures and policies.
  • Follow safety and security protocols diligently.
  • Support departmental functions, engage in cross-training, and undertake additional tasks as required.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to interpret maintenance and overhaul manuals for components.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, wiring schematics, and flow diagrams.
  • Exhibit reliability and self-motivation.
  • Demonstrate competency with standard hand tools.
  • Utilize torque wrenches, micrometers, dial calipers, and multi-meters effectively.
  • Capability to stand and work for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull items weighing up to fifty (50) lbs. consistently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Foster professional relationships and collaborate with colleagues respectfully and tactfully.
  • Resolve workplace conflicts and differences to meet objectives professionally.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and creative problem-solving.
  • Listen attentively and process information effectively.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Hydraulics Mechanics.
  • Compliance with drug testing and criminal background checks as per FAA regulations.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Airframe or Airframe and Powerplant certification.
  • Familiarity with reading technical manuals, data, and blueprints.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regular work in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Continuous standing, walking, and handling of heavy objects throughout the workday.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and occasional weekends as needed.
