Multicraft Maintenance Specialist

As a Multicraft Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of various machinery and equipment within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a diverse array of machinery, including conveyor systems, production lines, packaging equipment, and hydraulic systems.
- Utilize technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues with machinery and equipment promptly. Identify root causes of malfunctions and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Perform electrical repairs and installations, including wiring, circuitry, and control panels. Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and resolve faults, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct mechanical repairs and adjustments on motors, bearings, gears, and other mechanical components. Perform precision alignment and calibration to optimize equipment performance.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses. Troubleshoot system malfunctions and ensure proper functioning to support production operations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to proactively address potential equipment failures. Perform scheduled inspections, lubrication, and replacements to extend equipment lifespan and minimize breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts. Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvement.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Identify and address potential safety hazards, and participate in safety training and initiatives.
- Work closely with production teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities and optimize equipment uptime. Provide technical support and guidance to operators as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training preferred.
- Experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance, with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with maintenance software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Availability for on-call duty and occasional overtime as needed.
