We are seeking a skilled Lube & Tire Technician with experience in commercial tire work. Our benefits package includes paid time off and a 401k match.
Responsibilities:- Remove, install, rotate, balance, and repair tires for all vehicles, including commercial vehicles, according to TIA guidelines.
- Reset TPMS when needed.
- Inspect tread depth, air pressure, and carcass for defects, and recommend corrective action for every tire.
- Inspect vehicles using inspection forms and report potential repairs to the supervisor.
- Perform basic maintenance and repair, including oil changes, chassis lubrication, filter and fluid inspection and replacement, and other light mechanical items and repairs.
- Raise and lower vehicles safely using hydraulic or floor jacks.
- Operate shop machinery, including rim clamp machines, balancers, floor jacks or lifts, air-powered tools, torque wrenches, and parts washers.
- Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Help load and unload delivery trucks.
- Set up tire racks, signs, and displays each morning and store them neatly at the end of the day.
- Experience in auto mechanics.
- Experience in changing commercial vehicle tires.
- Valid driver's license with a driving record meeting company insurance requirements.
- Ongoing training per company standards.
- Ability to operate diagnostics and alignment equipment.
