The Style team is passionate about Apparel and Accessories (A&A), bringing the energy of style to life with compelling in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery. They are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests' needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room, providing resources to assist with outfitting, accessorizing, and building the basket to drive top-line sales.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Style Team Leader to join our team. As a Style Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly team members, including selecting, developing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent. You will also be responsible for planning department daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience, modeling, training, and coaching team member expectations to deliver the service standard.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
  • Understand sales goals, plan daily/weekly workload at the direction of your ETL, and execute the same to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
  • Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning, helping close skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
  • With ETL guidance, lead a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate about A&A, staying current on brands, trends, and promotions.
  • Ensure fitting rooms are welcoming, clean, and safe if applicable to your assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Encourage guests to shop with confidence by creating inspiring visual moments that are merchandised to support seasonal trends.
  • With ETL guidance, lead apparel backroom processes, organization, layout, and replenishment of the sales floor to ensure product is available for guests.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
  • With ETL guidance, participate in team onboarding, learning, and help close product knowledge and skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
  • With ETL guidance, communicate clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations.
  • Provide service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest.
  • Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, leading and holding the team accountable to work in the same way.
  • Model a safety advocacy culture by understanding how safety impacts your role and that of your team, identifying and correcting hazards, and holding team accountable to working in a safe manner to benefit themselves and others.
  • If applicable, as a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes.
  • Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.).
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Lead and hold others accountable.
  • Learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
