Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing educational programs in response to healthcare demands, trends, and identified learning needs.
- Design educational offerings using adult education principles and learning styles.
- Direct the delivery of education for nursing orientation, conduct competency assessments, and facilitate ongoing development.
- Maintain educational and competency records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- RN-Registered Nurse of California or CNS-Clinical Nurse Specialist certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- 5 years of recent relevant experience.
- Broad knowledge of clinical nursing, including current trends and safety precaution policies.
- Working understanding of adult teaching/learning theories and program assessment.
- General knowledge of the scope of practice, evidence-based practices, and the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses.
