Role Summary: The Youth Development Specialist will engage with youth as part of a collaborative team, delivering services that enhance their skills and abilities. This position involves implementing individualized service plans focused on fostering strengths and achieving personal goals.

Qualifications: Candidates must meet the State of Oregon requirements and hold MHACBO certification as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), which necessitates a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field or equivalent experience.

Experience: Previous experience working with youth is preferred, showcasing the ability to identify and address various developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapeutic interventions as outlined in service plans.
  • Provide skill training and support in areas such as self-care and social skills.
  • Participate in clinical consultations and team meetings to enhance service delivery.
  • Assist in crisis management and follow established protocols.
  • Support youth during community medical appointments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of youth progress and treatment plans.
  • Ensure a safe environment for youth and adhere to emergency procedures.

Additional Requirements: A valid Oregon driver's license and insurable driving record are necessary. Candidates must also maintain QMHA certification throughout their employment.
