Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain required par levels of implants and surgical supplies for Ambulatory Surgery Center.
  • Collaborate with surgical and supply chain staff to maintain programs and processes designed to ensure compliance of service delivery standards.
  • Act as a liaison in effectively communicating with the surgical team and stakeholders.
  • Manage the flow of surgical supplies; utilizing electronic inventory systems.
  • Check inventory levels of surgical supplies in designated storage areas and report findings to the supervisor.
  • Receive shipments of surgical supplies according to the vendor's packing slip and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Place new shipments of surgical supplies in their designated storage area.
  • Restock surgical supplies, according to established par levels.
  • Dispose of all waste generated (primarily cardboard boxes).
  • Utilize Vocera by responding and addressing the client's needs/concerns in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

  • Possess a sense of urgency and a proactive customer service philosophy.
  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Experience with surgical supplies preferred.
  • Able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Associates Degree in Business preferred.
