Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the collection and dissemination of news content
- Conduct thorough research and execute coverage strategies for breaking news and ongoing stories

- Partner with NBC News digital, streaming, and broadcast teams for effective newsgathering and content distribution
- Engage with critical departments such as Legal, Standards, and R&C to ensure proper editorial guidance is communicated
- Utilize data analytics to enhance newsgathering, storytelling, and audience interaction
- Establish and maintain communication with affiliates and News Channel colleagues
- Effectively manage and monitor social media platforms and online resources
- Facilitate and coordinate requests from various platforms for field assignments
- Participate in daily network-wide strategy meetings
- Maintain organized story and contact files
- Monitor competitor broadcasts across cable and digital platforms
- Develop comprehensive story coverage plans with management oversight
- Collaborate closely with Network, MSNBC, and NBC News Now teams to meet on-air requirements
- Coordinate with technical and operations teams for resource management
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of editorial production experience in a network, cable, or digital environment
- Proficient in newsroom technologies and all major social media platforms
- Strong understanding of television production, affiliate relations, and satellite operations
- Exceptional news judgment and communication skills are crucial
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting and prioritize effectively
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, under tight deadlines
- A collaborative team player with a strong interest in news and current events
- Must be based in New York, NY
