Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Medical Center SE Texas Port Arthur. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality mammography images to aid in the detection and diagnosis of breast abnormalities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate specialized mammography equipment to produce high-quality images of the breast tissue.
  2. Position patients correctly to ensure optimal image quality and patient comfort.
  3. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest mammography techniques and technologies to maintain high-quality image production.
  5. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligibility for registration.
  • Certification in mammography technology from the Texas Department of Health.
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and other unit-specific competencies.
