Job Summary:
As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist PRN at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, you will perform both vascular and general diagnostic Ultrasound procedures on adult, geriatric, pediatric, and adolescent patients. You will work under the direction of the Vascular Lab Clinical Manager for vascular procedures and a Radiologist and/or the Ultrasound Clinical Coordinator for general procedures.

This role requires you to perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed sound waves for radiologic diagnosis.

You will be responsible for designated areas or procedures as required.

Required Qualifications:
Registration in Vascular Technology by either accrediting body: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RVT) or Cardiac Credentialing International (RVS) is required. Additionally, registration in Diagnostic Medical Sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required, and you must hold at least one of the following registries upon hire: Abdomen (AB) or Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN). Both registries must be obtained within one year from hire. A diploma from an Ultrasound education program is also required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in both vascular and general ultrasound is preferred.
