Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the implementation of community programs and services at our managed housing community centers.
- Conduct resident surveys to identify community needs and develop programs to meet those needs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with residents, staff, and community partners.
- Supervise onsite staff and volunteers, including submitting timesheets and performance evaluations.
- Prepare monthly schedules of center programming and special events.
- Submit weekly vendor reports, monthly reports, and newsletter for review and approval.
- Order program and office supplies for approval and processing.
- Oversee CSF's vetted vendors for activities in youth, teen, adult, and seniors programs.
- Prepare bulletin boards to reflect programs, holidays, and upcoming events.
- Prepare and maintain participants' attendance records, program reports, and data for grant compliance reports.
- Conduct parent meetings and resident meetings as determined.
- Enforce rules and regulations of the center with residents and vendors.
- Utilize good judgment with participants, residents, rental office staff, investors, and community partners.
- Ensure confidentiality of residents and sensitive staff matters.
- Ensure the community center is kept neat and request maintenance repairs and janitorial cleaning as needed.
- Report all suspected youth and adult abuse and incident reports to CSF Office and appropriate agency.
- Associate's Degree preferred (Bachelor's Degree a plus) in Recreation, Elementary Education, or related field.
- Two years of experience developing and/or implementing recreational/social programs, preferably with some supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations governing the conduct of recreational programs/events and field trips.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to plan and supervise the work of subordinates and volunteers.
- Ability to plan and implement programs for all ages.
- Ability to visually inspect facilities for repairs.
- Ability to initiate programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, businesses, schools, and residents.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe.
Primary site hours range from 1pm-6pm Monday-Friday with either a three(3) hour or four(4)hour work shift depending on the site location. Hours in the summer months are Monday-Friday from 9:00-6:00 and schedules may shift to start earlier, end later, or involve weekend work based on business needs, workload, and other factors.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, write, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands/fingers to handle or feel (e.g. type, write, etc.); and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must have reliable transportation and ability to meet attendance/punctuality requirements and to facilitate on-site visits to properties (10% travel estimated).
