Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee the procurement of F&B supplies, cleaning materials, and uniforms.
  • Ensure daily F&B operations comply with established policies and standards.
  • Support and supervise a comprehensive monthly self-inspection program.
  • Manage departmental equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.
  • Monitor staffing levels to meet guest service and operational needs.
  • Foster a culture of trust, respect, and collaboration among team members.
  • Understand employee roles sufficiently to perform duties in their absence.
  • Develop and implement specific goals and plans to organize and prioritize work effectively.
  • Track and maintain employee productivity levels.
  • Ensure all team members understand the brand's service philosophy.
  • Maintain the operating budget and ensure compliance with standards and legal obligations.
  • Assist supervisors in addressing team members' evolving needs and expectations.
  • Communicate areas requiring attention to staff and ensure understanding.
  • Coordinate cleaning programs across all F&B areas, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
  • Establish and nurture open, collaborative relationships with employees.
  • Create an environment that promotes motivation, teamwork, and a passion for service.
  • Remain accessible and approachable for all team members.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Deliver exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Enhance service quality by assisting staff in understanding guest needs and providing constructive feedback.
  • Serve as a role model for appropriate service behaviors.
  • Address guest concerns proactively and maintain a positive guest relations environment.
  • Review guest feedback and satisfaction results with employees.
  • Respond promptly to requests from the customer service department.

Human Resource Management

  • Guide and direct subordinates, establishing performance standards and monitoring outcomes.
  • Administer performance appraisals for direct report managers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for hourly employees according to established procedures.
  • Communicate performance expectations clearly in line with job descriptions.
  • Ensure fair treatment of employees and strive to enhance retention rates.
  • Identify developmental needs and provide coaching and mentoring to enhance skills.
  • Ensure compliance with disciplinary procedures and documentation standards.
  • Recruit and hire management and hourly staff with the necessary skills for operational needs.
  • Manage beverage purchasing and control procedures, ensuring staff training is adequate.
  • Observe and provide feedback on employee service behaviors.

Additional Duties

  • Provide information to supervisors and colleagues through various communication methods.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to determine the best solutions to problems.
  • Perform hourly job functions as necessary.
