Job Description

Job Summary:

B&M Industrial Inc. is seeking a skilled Electronics Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electronics Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for replacing or repairing electronic, electrical, and/or electromechanical components of industrial control assemblies in both field service and service center settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze various manufacturers' schematic diagrams to identify component failures and determine repair or replacement options.
  • Troubleshoot and test electronic components to board level, using various methods and testing equipment to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective repairs.
  • Follow company procedures for requisitioning and charging materials and parts to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Repair and/or replace electronic components to board level, including but not limited to: diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and other printed circuit components.
  • Verify repairs using various start-up testing procedures to ensure that all systems are functioning properly.
  • Operate specialized equipment, including but not limited to: oscilloscopes, megaohmmeters, high-voltage insulation testers, AC/DC volt-ohm-milliammeters, clamp-on ammeters, frequency generators, signal generators, capacitance meters, various test panels, soldering equipment, infrared scanning equipment, and various kinds of hand-held power and non-power tools.
  • Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear, especially eye and ear protection, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Keep work area neat and clean as directed by supervisor to maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
  • Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor to support the team's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related field, or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • Strong business communication skills and ability to promote a professional image.
  • Knowledge of AC and DC motors and motor application.

Physical Abilities:

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; talk and hear.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Clearly see 20+ feet with or without corrective lenses. Have ability for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
