Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Boudreau Pipeline Corporation. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in road, site, or highway construction and paving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
  • Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required.
  • Maintain equipment and advise supervisor of any requirement for maintenance or repairs.
  • Maneuver heavy equipment into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed.
  • Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
  • Use equipment to level roads and/or working area, ensure proper drainage, and develop proper grade.
  • Use various pieces of equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating, and stockpiling.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • Report any problems to your immediate supervisor.
  • Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and materials with shovel.
  • Follow direction of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
  • May be called upon to run small power tools such as a jack hammer.
  • Dig, spread, and level construction materials.
  • Lift, carry, and hold material, tools, and supplies.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance at assigned times.
Requirements
  • Considerable knowledge of equipment operations and construction and maintenance procedures.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of grades and blueprints.
  • Skill in operation of assigned equipment.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.
Pay Range

$45.00/hr based on experience.
