Overview

As a pivotal figure in our organization, you will be tasked with overseeing, directing, and managing projects from their inception through to completion. This role encompasses the planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, performance testing, and the final handover of projects to clients. You will also play a crucial role in collaborating with Business Development to enhance existing project scopes, formulate proposal strategies, and prepare execution plans. Your expertise will support effective communication and presentations to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Development: Collaborate with Business Development to create winning strategies, preliminary execution plans, and comprehensive proposals. Engage in contract negotiations to establish clear deliverables and timelines.
  • Organizational Structure: Develop an integrated organizational framework, clearly defining roles and responsibilities to ensure safe, on-budget, and timely project completion.
  • Scope Management: Define project scope and objectives, establish best practices, and ensure alignment with project team members and stakeholders.
  • Contractual Oversight: Monitor all contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with specifications and timely processing of change orders.
  • Quality Assurance: Identify quality standards and implement processes to meet contractual requirements, regularly assessing customer satisfaction.
  • Health & Safety Leadership: Oversee the Environmental, Health & Safety program, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Documentation Management: Coordinate the documentation and records management process, ensuring adherence to customer standards.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project cash flow and establish budgets for non-reimbursable costs, keeping stakeholders informed of financial requirements.
  • Training & Development: Assist in the onboarding and training of new project managers and personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communication Facilitation: Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address issues, and ensure effective communication among all parties involved.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.

Experience: 5 to 10 years in project management within commercial or industrial sectors, with a minimum of 5 years in structural roles.

Skills: Proficient in project management tools and software, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of industry standards and practices is essential.
