Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support care in a hospital-based ambulance setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care per protocols, transfer orders, and state regulations.
- Safely operate ambulance in all weather conditions.
- Properly move, lift, and transfer patients, stretchers, and equipment, without injury to the associate or patient.
- Complete electronic and paper documentation accurately and completely for each transport.
- Supervise non-paramedic crew members and provide patient care in the ambulance.
- Provide age-specific and culturally appropriate patient care through knowledge of growth and development.
- Maintain all required certifications and attend required in-service training to maintain base knowledge and skills.
- Work in all weather conditions, including extremes in temperature and precipitation.
- Maintain knowledge and skill to operate all equipment on the ambulance correctly.
Requirements
- HS Diploma
- May be entry-level
- SC DHEC-Paramedic certification
- National Registry Paramedic certification (except for SC DHEC certified paramedics)
- CPR-Healthcare Provider certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
- Driver's License with no more than 2 at-fault or moving violations in a three-year period
