High-Tech Communication Specialist

Valkyrie Enterprises seeks a highly skilled Telecommunications Technician for an immediate opening. This critical position involves supporting the installation of cutting-edge Telecommunication Structured Cabling Systems.
Duties and Responsibilities- System Installation: Install, terminate, and test various types of cabling systems, including CAT 5e, CAT 6, Fiber Optics, and Coaxial.
- Cable Termination: Qualify in termination of cabling according to industry standards, such as EIA/TIA.
- Blueprint Analysis: Read and understand telecom blueprints to ensure accurate system implementation.
- Compliance and Safety: Maintain knowledge on proper grounding, safety standards, and NEC compliance.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of technical experience with telecom cabling systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in installation of telecommunication cabling systems, including Telecom Room Build-Out, fiber optic terminations, UTP/STP Category 6 cooper terminations, and familiarization with industry-leading manufacturers' practices.
- Test Equipment and Documentation: Qualified on the use of all test equipment and preparation of site test data and documentation.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Experience in performing maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of telecom cabling (fiber, Category 6, multi-pair copper).
- Security Clearance: Must have an Active DoD Top Secret clearance and be eligible to maintain it.
- Travel: Over 95% travel required, primarily international/domestic airline travel (coach only), with extended hotel stays.
- Physical Demands: Ability to reach, climb, stoop, and kneel up to 75% of the time, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive motion tasks.
Valkyrie Enterprises offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision options, company-paid life and disability insurances, 401k with match, education reimbursement, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). The annualized pay range for this position is $82,000 - $83,200 per year.
