Job Title: Bilingual Mental Health Clinician

Casa Esperanza, Inc. is a leading provider of bilingual/bicultural behavioral health treatment services in Boston and the Merrimack Valley. We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Mental Health Clinician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Bilingual Mental Health Clinician will provide high-quality care to individuals with co-occurring disorders in our outpatient mental health clinic. This role will involve providing individualized support to clients, utilizing their strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences to develop effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide crisis intervention counseling and referrals to ongoing mental health services as needed.
  • Utilize case conferencing and program team coordination to ensure effective and appropriate treatment plans.
  • Engage external and internal service providers to meet clients' needs.
  • Provide group treatment services using evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Relapse Prevention, and Relational and Psychodynamic therapy.
  • Participate in weekly clinical meetings to provide updates and assist in treatment planning and implementation.
  • Function as a resource to the team on mental health-related issues and assist in program components.
  • Provide backup clinical coverage, including staff supervision and program oversight.
  • Respond to client grievances and complaints.
  • Provide on-call coverage as needed.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
  • Two years' experience working with a psychiatric/substance abusing/co-occurring population.
  • Knowledge of community resources and issues affecting people with HIV/AIDS in recovery from substance abuse/alcoholism.
  • Experience with homelessness, mental illness, and domestic violence.
  • Experienced in crisis management and intervention.
  • Spanish required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member and independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and practice of evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, and motivational interviewing techniques.
