Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in our respiratory therapy department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients with a variety of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and nebulizers.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and peak flow measurements.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months OR active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the NBRC if credential received prior to January 1, 2023.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree.
