Job Summary

Lakeside Surfaces Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering HR policies and procedures, collecting and analyzing HR data, and making recommendations to management for Employee Relations, Training and Development, Safety and Health, Wellness, Succession Planning and Retention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement HR programs by providing HR services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, employee relations and retention, EEO compliance, and completing personnel transactions.
  • Develop HR solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.
  • Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  • Complete special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.
  • Manage company expectations by communicating project status and issues; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues; preparing reports.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management including resolving conflict.
  • Training Management.
  • Maintaining Employee Files.
  • People Skills.
  • Employment Law.
  • Project Management.
  • General office experience - including Reporting Skills, Verbal Communication, Administrative Writing Skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • SPHR or HRCI Certification.
