Job Summary

This position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction using integrative technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction: Teach courses via on-ground as assigned, including evening, off-campus, and distance-based courses as required.
  • Grading and Feedback: Post grades during the term for student feedback and submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete required College trainings, complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Regularly check your JSCC email and your departmental mailbox, respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend, and attend meetings as requested by the Program Chair and/or Dean.
  • Syllabus and Curriculum: Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract.
Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a minimum of an associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning, certification as an Instructor/Coordinator in the State of TN, and licensure as a Paramedic in TN, with no revocation, denial, or suspension.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution, supervisor or management experience, and prior teaching experience are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes, ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay rate for this position is $600 per credit hour.
