Role Summary:

We are in search of a proficient Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team. A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in the property management sector is required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Reside within a 30-minute commute of the property.
  • Possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret various documents, including work orders and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with standard tools and competence in basic maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical work, and light carpentry.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Participation in an on-call service rotation is mandatory.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Professional certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work are advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vacant rental units for new occupants.
  • Oversee the daily maintenance and repair of buildings and surrounding areas.
  • Conduct snow removal as necessary.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to requests from employees and residents.
  • Maintain personal tools essential for the Facilities Maintenance Specialist role.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the work area and proper maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Adhere to Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) standards and company safety policies consistently.
  • Seek opportunities for skill enhancement and knowledge expansion.
  • Wear the designated uniform and uphold a professional appearance at all times.
  • Be available for on-call duties as required.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
