Role Summary:
We are in search of a proficient Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team. A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in the property management sector is required.
Key Qualifications:
- Reside within a 30-minute commute of the property.
- Possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret various documents, including work orders and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with standard tools and competence in basic maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical work, and light carpentry.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Participation in an on-call service rotation is mandatory.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Professional certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work are advantageous but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare vacant rental units for new occupants.
- Oversee the daily maintenance and repair of buildings and surrounding areas.
- Conduct snow removal as necessary.
- Respond promptly and courteously to requests from employees and residents.
- Maintain personal tools essential for the Facilities Maintenance Specialist role.
- Ensure cleanliness of the work area and proper maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Adhere to Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) standards and company safety policies consistently.
- Seek opportunities for skill enhancement and knowledge expansion.
- Wear the designated uniform and uphold a professional appearance at all times.
- Be available for on-call duties as required.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
